My name is Bill Tolliver and I am the founder of the Newport Boat Club.
I’ve never created a website before, but the tutorial I read says I’m supposed to create an “About Me” page and then tell my readers a little bit about myself, so here goes.
I love boats and I love the water; especially the sea.
The truth is, I have been a boat enthusiast my entire life. I grew up right on the ocean; surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, spear fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, deep-sea fishing, you name it. If it involves the water and having fun, I probably grew up doing it.
I even had an interesting run-in with a 10-foot bull shark once when I was diving for abalone.
I built my first boat with my dad and my older brother Jake when I was 7 and from that moment on, I was hooked. Jet boats, sail boats, kayaks, I love them all.
I also happen to be a personal injury attorney in Los Angeles and I specialize in boating / personal watercraft accidents and Jones Act maritime litigation.
I started the Newport Boat Club to meet new people, share adventures and have some fun with other like-minded boat-lovers in the Los Angeles / Newport Beach area.
If you’re interested in hanging out with us or joining us on one of our outings, drop me a line.
